I’m late for our Sunday Social

But you really have to forgive me because I was running and doing a lot of stuff this weekend.  Forgive me?  Okay so in case you forgot, I’m linking up with Neely and Ashely for their Sunday Social.  Which is coming to you on Tuesday.  Whatever, whatever, I do what I want!

Sunday SocialMmkay, so here we go!

1. What was your best birthday?  My best birthday would have to be my 20th, because I tagged along with my dad to go to New York City.  He took me and my cousin, who’s gonna be one of my bridesmaids, to a show, to sushi, and to a comedy show.  It was SO fun, and when we got home to New Jersey, my Auntie Denise made me a homemade red velvet cake with cream cheese icing.

2. What was your best vacation?  What’s a vacation?  Let me know when you find out 🙂 No, just kidding – I think one of the trips that I took to DC recently has been a fave.  I stayed in the Westin in Georgetown, and that place really made my trip.

3. Best date you’ve ever been on?  Date number one with this guy 🙂

308199_738548441023_853436731_n-1We went to the Rockford on Glenwood, and I was one smitten kitten about him.  We’re getting married in a few months, so something he said must have worked, right? 🙂

4. Best Movie(quality) you’ve seen?  Wolf of Wall Street was really awesome, but not for the faint of heart.  That movie was a little insane, but Leonardo?

Yes thank you!

5. Best TV show ending of all time? Sex and the City everything, and Breaking Bad.  Both left me totally wanting more.

Okay, so for you, what was your best birthday ever?

I Can’t Wait for Summer Because…

So today is the first day of spring.

Allegedly.

Let me tell you this right now, and then I will stop rantin’ and ravin’.  However  I am tall and thin and very cold-blooded (I forgot what they call that body type, but my yoga friend calls me watery), and I have been cold on a consistent basis since November, and I find that highly ridiculous.  So I’m protesting, and I’m liking up with Helene from Helene in Between to bring you….

Helene In Between
This amazing link-up.
Plus Helene, if you’re reading this, I really think we could be blogger besties, and you should really think about forging a friendship with me.  But that’s really just a suggestion, do with it what you’d like.
+Camp.  Seriously  camp.  I’ve talked nonstop about camp here, and I’ll talk about it more.  But Camp Pocono Trails, a camp where I’ve been working since 2010, is literally one of the happiest places on earth.  I will dedicate an entire post to all the amazingness of camp, but rest assured, you will hear all friggin about how amazing camp is.  These girls are my camp children.

+Jorts + crop tops.  I live for weather warm enough to rock this delicious combo.
28795aaec46830528e480c69669d40a0+Summer nights going to concerts and sitting outside while you eat.  Can you sit outside while an ice storm is raging?  Yeah maybe, but you will be very cold.  Very cold and very icy.
+We got engaged on a beautiful summer night.  And therefore, summer reminds me of love.
+Bikinis!  I love them, and there’s nothing better than sitting out in one on the 4th of July.  Speaking of, I need some new cute ones.

+Iced coffee.  It’s fine in the winter.  Makes me DIE in the summer time.
+Summer storms.  I love thunderstorms.  I always have.  My poor roomie, Mackenzie Coconuts does not feel the same way, and used to crawl into bed with me when it stormed in college, fun fact.
Link up!  And what are your favorite things about summer?  What can’t you wait for?

I’m the Kind of Girl Who…

I totally stole this idea from I Wore Yoga Pants to Work  and Hey, Hollywood: – but I absolutely loved it so well I had to!

So.  I’m the kind of girl who..

…despite my vegetarianism, there are so many vegetables I hate.  I mean, I really hate so many.  These include, but are not limited to, mushrooms (and that’s what people always try to offer vegetarians when there is no other option.  Kill me).  I also hate cauliflower, the gourds, and certain peppers.

…naps like a damn champ.  When I was in college, I used to nap multiple times a day,  Now I’m an adult and I really almost never get the change to nap.  So when I do get the chance to nap, once or twice a month, I nap for like a thousand hours for the day.

…gets a little obsessive about certain things.  Lately I have been shampooing my carpets like the world is going to end.  Just did it again last night.  And I loved it.  I may have a disorder, and I’m completely okay with that.

…works out a ton.  I didn’t used to be, but I got sick of being annoyed with my body, and I started working out.  It’s amazing.  I try and do something every day.   I run, I yoga, I do Zumba, I lift, I try and do something, or I go crazy.

…gets in weird moods once in a while.  My weird moods usually mean I want to just lay on the couch and do nothing, or I want to pick a fight because I feel kind of irritable.  Two nights ago,  I was in a weird mood, so I took the dog, and sat on the patio at a sushi restaurant.  It really did my soul a lot of good.

…is an awesome cook despite the fact that people say skinny girls can’t cook.  I love taking comfort foods, like Mac + Cheese or a Grilled Cheese and turning it healthy.

…loves bright colors.  Bright, deep, amazing colors.  They make me happy!

…is getting married in a little than 6 months, and is surprisingly relaxed about the whole deal.  I honestly can’t wait!

Enjoy, and link up with these bloggers, or link up in the comments below!
